Civic Construction is serving as the general contractor for Spark Tower, a 230,000-square-foot, 28-story, luxury condominium structure in Miami’s up-and-coming Edgewater neighborhood. The $30 million project is breaking ground in June 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in March 2018. The tower will house 56 residential units, 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and pedestal parking with a recreational deck that features a pool. Other common areas include a reception area, a barbecue area with kitchen features, fitness center, multipurpose area, a screening room/theater, music room, and sky terrace.

Spark Tower is a prototypical project that shows how Civic Construction operates for its international clients. Spark’s developer, Spider Investments, has an office in Florida, but its main investors are based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Considering this was Spider’s first project in Miami, Real says making sure everything went smoothly was of the utmost importance for Civic Construction. With construction just underway, Civic Construction has created another relationship that has produced repeat business. Even before shovel hit the ground on Spark Tower, Spider Investments named Civic Construction the general contractor for two more projects – 25 Edgewater and OWN Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, a boutique hotel on Harding Avenue.
